Founded in 1922, the Ely Public Library is now housed in the Ely Community Center that was built in 1937-38 in the Art Deco Style.

Overdue Fines:
Books -- 10 cents per day
Magazines -- 10 cents per day
Books on Tape -- 10 cents per day
CDs -- 10 cents per day
VHS Videos -- 1 dollars per day
DVD's Videos-- 2 dollars per day
